Lack of water in your body causes headaches, dizziness, loss of energy, and overheating. Drinking eight glasses of water a day is recommended for athletes that perform severe training each day. It is recommended to drink water before and after exercising, and also in between workouts.

However, don’t take more water than is required as moving around will be difficult. You can also take sports drinks if you find regular water hard to consume. Avoid carbonated beverages and juice as they can give you a stomach ache, affecting your performance.
